The automatically graded assessments are great for most cases, but sometimes nothing beats a paper test where students fill in the answers with a pencil.
Some scenarios that you may want to provide a printed assessment could include: students won’t have access to devices on testing day, it’s a practice test you want the students to have a physical copy to review or to meet an IEP student’s needs.

Sign in to learn.aeseducation.com
Step 2
Choose a class and click on the Assignments tab.
Step 3
Select the module that contains the assessment you would like to administer.
Step 4
Scroll to the assessment, and click the Answer Key link.

Then, select the Answers Visible toggle to show the blank assessment.

Click the printer-shaped button in the top right corner.

Print a custom exam for students to take a paper copy

Sign in to learn.aeseducation.com
Step 2
Choose a class and click on the Assignments tab.
Step 3
Click on the Custom Exam title in your Assignment list
Step 4
Click on the grey Answer Key button at the top of the screen.
Step 5
To print a blank assessment to give to students, click the Answers Visible toggle so the correct answers are not displayed.

Click the Print button!

To print any answer key, follow the instructions above to print an assessment of your choice. Make sure that the Answer Visible/Hidden toggle indicator is to switched to the right and bright green!
Then, click the Print button!
Print multiple versions of an assessment
To prevent students from looking at each other’s work, you can print multiple versions of a paper assessment. Using the shuffle button, you can randomize the questions and the question response options before you print each version of an exam.
You’ll likely want to print an answer key for each version of the assessment, so before you shuffle for a new version, make sure you print and label your key!
